Brother, please stop ogling. Have you any idea how obvious it is? Someone will notice and tease you about it...
Probably me. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

Our little sister didn't die after all...somehow, by some miracle, she wasn't killed in the sack of Doriath.
I don't know what to say. Just...wow... *is amazed*
I hope we get to see her again. That would be so nice. Well, as long as she has grown out of trying to persuade me to dress up in Nana's clothes now... | comments: 10 comments or Leave a comment |

It's turning into quite a situation here, isn't it? Poor folks.
Perhaps I should just send the lot of them to bed and prepare a large amount of mulled wine for all? That might make things a little better at least.
This has been quite a day. | comments: Leave a comment |

"I think he's looking for me," he whispers as he crawls out from under some undergrowth several minutes later. "I bet he sat down and gave a full and tragic account of our history?" He chuckles. "Which is a relief, becase it saves me the effort. So, I thought I'd talk about my brother a bit, as I am sure he will have an extensive moan about me at some point!
"Eluréd looks like me, only more broody. He has dark brown hair and grey eyes and is exactly six feet and four inches tall - which is ironic since I happen to be exactly six feet and five inches, leaving him with a total inferiority complex. He's also older, grumpier and more cynical. And chronically antosocial, although this seems to improve if you ply him with sufficient alcohol. He has the mistaken belief that he is somehow responsible for me, and consequently suffers from the illusion that I am permanently causing trouble. Which is naturally totally untrue." He stands and heads back towards the treeline, but only gets halfway before discovering that a small brook winds its way across the clearing - by putting his foot in it, slipping up and landing on his backside in an inch of water.
*certain amount of mild cursing*
A head and a pair of shoulders emerge from the brook and there is a smile and laughter. "Ooooh...there's a slow worm..." He watches it slither off into the grass before picking himself up and wandering off. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

Eluréd drops down from a tree and seats himself comfortably on the grass, idly demolishing a daisy as he speaks.
"Well, I suppose I should reintroduce myself so we all know what's going on. Where to start, though?" He looks flummoxed for a moment before clearing his throat and beginning hopefully, "I am Eluréd, son of Dior, who was the only child of Beren and Lúthien. My twin brother, Elurín, is around somewhere, hopefully not getting himself into some kind of scrape that I will undoubtedly have to remedy. Unbelievably, it seems we have somehow reached the ripe old age of seven thousand plus change..." He sighs. "I suppose this is especially surprising considering what happened when we were Elflings.
"It all started long before we were born, or Ada, even. But it culminated in the fact that Ada possessed a Silmaril and the sons of Fëanor had sworn to get it back. And so they..." He pauses, swallowing. "They attacked Doriath and slaughtered almost everyone there. My brother and I were captured and taken deep into Doriath, where we were abandoned to starve in the forest." His tone begins to lighten now, though. "But they assumed too much. Somehow, we always managed to find enough food to get by. Somehow, we always found shelter. And so...we survived. When we needed things, we sometimes sought out the villages of Men on the edge of Doriath, where we were often able to trade items from the forest for what we required."
He gets up slowly, looking thoughtful. "So that's our story. I had better run off now, and see what on Arda Elurín is doing. I half expect to find him caught up in a tree or something equally ridiculous..." | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
